Ferrara Balloon Festival La Grande Bouffe

The Ferrara Balloon Festival is a festival dedicated to balloons which takes place every year in Ferrara in the month of September. It is a long event and always crowded, given that attracts tourists also from other regions of Italy.
The festival is concentrated in the Urban Park, a large green area not far from the city center, the largest park in Ferrara. It 'really nice, even when there is no desert event, but during the festival turns thanks to these wonderful balls that adorn the roof of the small and picturesque medieval town. Much will depend on the wind is true, I have not always seen a lot of balls, but when they could fly and leave all together will be really fantastic.
You can also book a tour of the city, especially to hike up to the Po Delta, is really an experience magnificent.

During the festival are set up many banquets and stand of various kinds, from real shops (there's a bit 'of everything, from clothing to furniture, cars, furniture, just as fairs) to walk or stand with snacks typical products of various Italian regions.
Al Ferrara Balloons Festival to play! Many booths for kids, especially The Magic City, a reconstruction of medieval life, with shops, traditional crafts and games for your kids (bags, swings, wooden cages of the prisoners, and more!).
But there are also several spaces dedicated to sports, with special areas for games, relaxation techniques and various performances.
And how not to stop and enjoy some of the typical Emilian dishes such as flatbread but also the local grilled meat, and many other delicacies of the region (and Ferrara, of course!).

An event is completely free, it is worth seeing at least once! And not just for balloons.
not worry about parking, if you will find several cars on the roadside. Get close to City Park, there are many places and also a large car park available free of CUS.

Borgata City

City Borgata is a small village of San Giovanni in Persiceto , a village in the province of Bologna. I've been several times, because I have a friend who lives there and has always struck me this little village of houses joined to the other, it is almost like stepping back in time. La Grande Bouffe
is an annual event that I can not lose! This is a kind of celebration of the country, where all the Borgata is held to pay homage to the cuisine of Emilia-Romagna e. .. eat! The small square in the township as a long wooden table with benches, where you place the mats covered with (cute) and after ordering very spartan (paper with pen and paper) you can order delicacies that you really do not compare!
Among the dishes this year (and every year!) are the tortellini with meat sauce, pappardelle with hare sauce, polenta with a donkey (fantastico!), the ass in wet, snails, skewers of meat and some sausage and a side dish. Of course, the wine is always Lambrusco or Sangiovese, but you will also find the white wine.

How
already told you eat well, the dishes are abundant and if you want to try the cuisine of Emilia Romagna and I think it is really the place for money! The donkey with polenta is really fabulous, but very much worth the tortelloni. The first ride we got a bit 'of everything, but consider that only fills a dish enough!

The Mazzagatti company has dealt with throughout the organization, the staff were wearing t-shirts and aprons theme (see logo in photo) and the atmosphere of the country, warm and friendly to the max!
you eat at long tables with people who do not know, and this is definitely not a problem because, you know, the people are friendly and Emilia will never be difficult to talk with someone who does not know without feeling embarrassed!

After dinner you have to stop at the small coffee bar in the country or make a good wine that is served in bottles or jugs, but also enjoy a great sorbet! They also set up several tents, a dance floor, the game caps (with many plants to be won!), But also the unique "counts of the sausages," which consists in guessing the weight of various sausages and hams hanging in a very high. The winner? Conquers all! For every order you will receive a special numbered ticket, which will serve for counting, in fact.

Getting to City Borgata is not easy, but you can follow these steps: exit Bologna Freight, follow the signs to San Giovanni in Persiceto for 20 km ( eye that there are 3 cameras! limit 90 then 70), straight first round, second round to the right, the third straight round and then the first road that brings a little invisible 'through the fields on the left.
Parking is on the lawn, if you arrive early enough you will find the parking attendant to help you, otherwise, if it has already gone to eat, you have to do it yourself!

Definitely that deserves a party, other than classical or Unity party and the country where the food is an exception! The donkey with polenta you will remember for months!
The period of performance is variable but is always the month of September, for two weekends.
